“Pura vida”, is a way of life. It is welcoming, it is a celebration of life, and it is about focusing on what is important in life. Puravida means spending time with the people you care about, enjoying the simplicities in life, such as nature and great food, and taking time to relax. Puravida Outdoor Living was born out of the desire to create an outdoor space for families and friends to gather and partake in what it means to live “pura vida,” right at home.

As with all contractors you allow on your property, you should ensure that your swimming pool professional is a registered business with the State of New Jersey, is licensed, and fully insured. Puravida Outdoor Living is fully registered, holds a New Jersey Home Improvement Contractor’s License (HIC# 13VH11729400), and maintains ample general liability and workman’s compensation coverage. While there are no legal requirements at this time to operate as a swimming pool professional, one should look to hire a professional who makes the commitment to obtain certifications from PHTA, the Pool and Hot Tub Alliance. Puravida owners Chris Rauschenbach and Sam Folaron are heavily involved in NESPA, the Northeast Pool and Spa Association, a division of PHTA. Both are board members of the local chapter and both hold certifications. Chris has earned the Certified Pool Builder designation while Sam holds the Certified Service Technician designation. Both certifications require continuing education to ensure that they are keeping up with changing standards and state requirements. Chris and Sam also ensure that all employees are attending safety courses, educational classes, and product trainings to upload the highest level of service to their customers.

The Certified Builder Professional and Certified Service Technician are nationally recognized by the Pool and Hot Tub Alliance, the largest and oldest swimming pool and spa industry association world wide. PHTA is responsible for setting industry standards and sound regulatory practices in all aspects of the pool and spa industry.
Puravida has obtained and maintain both the CBP and CST certifications, so you can rest assured knowing that we are operating, building and maintaining your pool in the most up to date, safe, and ethical manner. We are educated and trained in the most current trends, providing you the latest technology and equipment available on the market today.

We feel it is important to give back to the community in which we do business. Puravida Outdoor Living is a proud sponsor of the Wall Township Intermediate School, The Wall Township Little League program, The Wall Knights Youth Football and Cheerleading, The Special Olympics of New Jersey, as well as Step Into Swim powered by the Pool and Hot Tub Association. Step in to Swim is an initiative committed to creating more swimmers to reduce drowning incidents and encourage healthy activities.
This program provides swim lessons as well as general drowning prevention programs within our local community. As swimming pool professionals, this cause is close to our hearts and we take great pride in knowing that we can contribute to creating healthy, safe, and fun swim environments throughout the Ocean and Monmouth County areas.
